G – Google

Text isn’t the only thing that Google indexes. Images are a very powerful way to attract Google to your website and blog and up your search ranking. If you optimise and tag your images correctly, you can get yourself a very attractive Google ranking.

Need some proof? Check how many pictures Google has indexed from your site by going to http://images.google.com/images?q=site:yoursite.com, and replacing “yoursite.com” with your domain name.


H – Help

Get help with your images – whether that’s from your designer or photographer. Professionals are there for a reason. They can help you make the most of eye-catching images that will improve potential customers perception of your company.





I – Instagram

Make your images searchable with hashtags. It’s fun for the average user, but a huge win for brands that want to get more attention. You could host a contest, target people by interest, create an RSS feed or encourage participation.
